Live your life “on fire for God” and you will attract someone to you who shares a similar heart, dreams and desires.
In the summer of 2016, we first met at a gathering of local leaders who were sharing about their ministry and non-profit work influencing youth and society with a message of worth and biblical values. We lost contact, but a few months later we connected again at a conference of Christian business leaders. A few weeks later we met alone for breakfast and we had the opportunity to share our personal stories about pain and loss of dreams, but our deep gratitude to God’s ever present love and grace, and our belief that He could restore all things. Something happened at that breakfast…our hearts and spirits connected, and a few weeks later on Jan 2, 2017 we had our first “date”.
2017 was a busy year as we dated and met each other’s friends, family, church communities, and ministry partners. We both love to travel, so we took the opportunity for Carrie to see Jeff’s international business and ministry, and to enjoy many adventures with “good food, good friends, and great conversation”. We embraced counseling to make sure that were asking the “tough questions”. And yes, we fell deeply in love with each other. Exactly one year later, on Jan 2, 2018, on top of Prayer Mountain at Hope of Life in Guatemala we were engaged and we then celebrated with 30 family friends as we enjoyed dinner and communion in the 300 year old ruins of a Dominican Monastery.
We invite you to join us for our wedding ceremony April 28, 2018. We pray that our life will continue to be a testimony to God’s grace, love and his power to restore all things.
